Eugene Halliday (1911–1987) was a British artist, writer and psychotherapist, who demonstrated not only the idea, but the fact, that each and every one of us is essentially responsible for the life in which we are centred — and that we owe it to ourselves to develop our life. His teaching showed that self-conscious reflexion and the integrated focusing of our energies will allow us, as individuals, to become aware of that internal life force which is its own real and natural authority. He was a man wholly dedicated to the development of the highest potential of his fellow beings—which was his definition of Love.
Eugene Halliday died in 1987 but there are still many who value his work and wish to make it available to all those who are interested and may benefit from it. As this testimonial shows:
“He presented me with a way of living totally different to the middle-class, fear ridden, moderate-ruled attitude with which I was brought up. His philosophy, and the personal work which I was privileged to do with him gave me a personal life and working life which I value beyond all words.”
He left a rich legacy of recorded lectures, artwork, essays and books. Many of his recorded lectures and transcripts are available for free download on this Archive website. His Collected Works (in 15 volumes) are available through Melchisedec Press.
